School Consolidation Options for YES Families
Posted 10/25/19

On October 24, 2019, the Trustees of the Napa Valley Unified School District (NVUSD) affirmed the 7-11 Committees’ recommendations to close Yountville Elementary School and consolidate it with Willow Elementary School at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. The purpose of this letter is to outline your opportunities and choices related to this decision.

As discussed in the 7-11 Committee meetings, all students currently attending Yountville Elementary School will automatically be transferred to Willow Magnet Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. Families will also be able to return to their home school or participate in the NVUSD Open Enrollment Process.

To learn more about the exciting program opportunities at Willow Magnet Elementary, please visit their website at willow.nvusd.org.
Families of Yountville Elementary School students will receive an email with a Google Form Survey requesting a response to the following options on the first day of Open Enrollment Monday, October 28, 2019:

  • Attend Willow Magnet Elementary School
  • Return to original school of residence (non-resident Yountville students only)
  • Participate in the Open Enrollment process

Families will need to provide a response to the Google Form Survey by Friday, November 29, 2019.
We look forward to supporting families through this transition. For further information, please visit the NVUSD website at www.nvusd.org.

If you need additional support and information, please call or visit the NVUSD Enrollment Center at 2425 Jefferson Street, (707) 253-3435, or email enrollment@nvusd.org.
